VIC SPN: Annual General Meeting + Networking Event
17 September@2:00 pm - 4:30 pmFree
Annual General Meeting
As a valued member of EDA, the national peak body for economic development professionals, we invite you to join the EDA Victoria State Practitioner Network (SPN).
SPNs drive EDA’s program in their state. The SPN Committees plan economic development workshops, forums, panels, informal networking functions as well as provide economic policy research and advice which informs the EDA national agenda.
With over 400 members in Victoria and a very active SPN Committee, it’s a great time to get involved. We hope you will join the SPN committee to connect with your peers, help plan a fantastic calendar of events and support and promote the great work being done by fellow economic development professionals across the state. EDA’s annual report provides a great snapshot of the work of our SPNs.
The next SPN meeting and elections are on:
Friday 17th September at 2.00pm via teleconference.
- Welcome & Apologies
- Annual Committee Election
- Election of Office Bearers
- General Business
If you would like any further information regarding the SPNs or EDA in general please call Melissa – 0467 217 997.
Free Networking Event – 2.30pm to 4.00pm (immediately following the AGM)
EDA SPN Victoria invite you to a virtual networking event to share your experiences of the introduction and implementation of the Better of Approvals Process (BAP) to your Council.
The aim of the session is to learn from Councils across Victoria that have successfully implemented the BAP, what led to the success, the challenges they overcame, and the positive outcomes delivered for small business.
You will hear from a panel local government experts that have implemented the BAP and we will provide you with the opportunity to share your challenges with other economic development practictioners to support you in finding solutions.
The goal is to agree the top 3 to 5 advocacy items relating to the BAP and for EDA Victoria to present back to the Victorian State Government on behalf of the members.
