SA Economic Development and Music Industry Forum

28 November @ 12:30 pm - 5:00 pm

$35

The EDA SA State Practitioner Network are partnering with the music industry to discuss the significant economic, employment and long-acknowledged cultural and social benefits that the music industry has for South Australia.

The forum is designed to help understand the role that communities have in encouraging the development of a vibrant music economy and its connections across the broader creative industries.

Adelaide is a UNESCO City of Music and there are a series of initiatives being progressed and developed which economic development practitioners have a key role in assisting with.

The South Australian Music Industry Strategy was launched in February 2018 to accelerate growth of the music sector in South Australia, with a mission to ensure that our state’s music businesses are globally competitive, innovative and have ready access to new markets.

A key note music industry presenter is being finalised.

Topics will include:

  • Role of ED in the Creative Industries
  • Status of the Music Industry in SA
  • Connection with other industries e.g. Film Corp
  • Economic Analysis and mapping SA Music Industry
  • Current programs

EDA SA is also looking to feature 2 local government case studies so if you would like to present at the workshop please contact Simon Millcock email ceo@legatus.sa.gov.au

This forum will be followed by the SA EDA end of year function with further details for this event to be provided soon.
