Webinar: Bushfire Recovery and Resilience

8 April @ AEST 10:00 am - 11:30 am

$30

The recent bushfires caused unprecedented destruction and economic damage. A panel of experienced professionals in disaster recovery and resilience will lead a discussion of the U.S. experience in recovering from, and taking steps to become more resilient to, wildfires and other natural and man-made disasters.

The session will be led by David A. Dodd, CEcD/FM who many in the EDA family may be familiar with, as he has been involved in Australian economic development for 24 years. David is currently President of the International Sustainable Resilience Centre, Inc., a UN-affiliated Center of Excellence in Public Private Partnerships for resilience. He will be joined by Jill Dominguez, a 20-year veteran of disaster recovery who lives in California with substantial experience in wildfire recovery and resilience. Rounding out the panel will be Robert (Bob) Lane, a foremost expert in land management to reduce bushfire risk, and in recovery in rural and open areas. Panelists will guide a participative discussion designed to provide maximum value to attendees, and will provide additional information on wildfire recovery and resilience.
