Caprielle A Lewis | Area Director of economic development for Sisters, Oregon USA.
Advocating for small businesses and cultivating public private partnerships and policies that retain and expand local traded sector companies while encouraging local entrepreneurism is the focus of Caprielle’s local program. She also actively participates on local, regional and state committees influencing and implementing strategies for economic development including workforce development, legislative policies, and business recruitment.
During her tenure, Sisters has experienced significant population growth and the tourism-based economy has become more diverse and resilient with a higher percentage of local jobs being created in traded sector companies. With her close involvement, a rapidly expanding start-up Sisters company (Laird Superfood) is the recipient of Oregon’s Business Development Success Award for 2019.
