Position Description

We currently have one (1) fixed term full time appointment available up to 30 June 2022 the possibility of extension.

This process may be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout the department. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, the panel may select another suitable applicant from this selection process. Both of these options remain valid for a period of six (6) months from approval of the initial recruitment decision.

We are seeking a Regional Development Officer to join the South West Development Commission. In this position you will contribute to research and analysis of information, data evaluation to support the planning and implementation of community and economic development projects. Some key responsibilities in this position include:

  • Contributing to coordinating the activities of the Board and Working Parties
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including; government authorities, industry members and community groups.

Contributing data analysis, maintaining databases of regional information on specific industries

Eligibility / Other Conditions

A current and valid Western Australian C (car) class driver’s licence or equivalent is required (if not currently held, must be acquired prior to commencement at applicant’s expense).
