About the role
Developing and implementing an Economic Development strategy for the City. Establishing networks with relevant commerce, trade, industry and government organisations. Raising the profile and awareness of property development opportunities such as the Rockingham City Centre and Waterfront Village precincts.
We are seeking a dynamic professional with significant economic development experience and experience in commercial property development either in the private or public sector, to promote investment and development in key areas within the City.
Reporting directly to the CEO the successful applicant will develop and implement the key recommendations of the City’s Economic Development Strategy which will include managing relationships with key stakeholders such as Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce, Department of Defence, Business Foundations Inc. and local businesses.
About you, in the role
The position requires a sound knowledge of economic development, commercial property development economics and prevailing market conditions. The successful applicant will have well developed networks within the business and property sector and have experience in targeting investment for major commercial facilities and large scale multi-residential developments.
Applicants will possess tertiary qualifications in either commerce, marketing, economics, urban and regional planning or property.

This position offers a salary package circa $170,000 per annum.
