This support runs throughout throughout East Arnhem Land, working with local and external stakeholders in aspiring start-ups through to established enterprises.

This Industry Development role is a unique and challenging opportunity for a strategic and knowledgeable individual to facilitate targeted actions and projects for this organisation. The success of this not for profit is based around their commitment to meeting high expectations and targets, which this role actions through the implementation of business and industry development initiatives.

Set in a beautiful and remote location in Nhulunbuy, Northern Territory, this full-time role will require you to immerse yourself in the community and maintain the core values and responsibilities of the organisation at all times. Working to support the economic sustainability in the region, the organisation values the relationships that it builds with business and the broader East Arnhem community. As a proactive and innovative strategic thinker, you must have excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with a range of businesses and individuals and develop relationships to provide advice and relevant information to support their growth. Through collaboration with these parties, you will assess their individual needs and utilise industry resources and trends to provide support including grant opportunities.

Communication and commitment are the foundation of this position, essential for working alongside a passionate and driven team and advocating the organisations goals to a broad audience. Paired with outstanding networking skills, your written and verbal communication repertoire are essential for relaying strategies and advice. Whether you are negotiating with an individual or a group, you will be confident in engaging the audience with your well informed and inspirational presentation skills. High level reporting to the CEO, collection and analysis of statistical data, the ability to remain politically neutral and demonstrate cultural sensitivity will all be important to performing the role well.
