Director Community and Economic Development | Winton Shire Council | QLD

Located in Central Western Queensland, covering 53,935 square kilometres and with a population of 1150, Winton has an iconic and unique heritage while also undergoing several key development initiatives that will help ensure a long-term sustainable and bright future for the region, its communities and residents.

You will provide inspirational leadership, strategic and operational direction right across the Community and Economic Development portfolio. The team’s key objective will be to develop a clear understanding of what is valued and required by the community and its residents and to develop the initiatives and frameworks that will deliver on all stakeholder expectations.

Tertiary qualified in a Business or Management related discipline, you will have extensive experience at senior management level within complex organisations with demonstrated experience in change management, innovation and strategic leadership. Working with Elected Members and/or Boards and key external stakeholder relationship management is a must. Understanding and experience delivering key community care services such as Aged Care, Families and Education would be highly regarded.
