MAROONDAH CITY COUNCIL

The focus of the Maroondah City Council's Economic Development Unit has been on business attraction and retention, and it has actively reviewed the resources and promotional opportunities needed to assist businesses in achieving sustainability and growth.

Arising from that review, and recognising that information is the key to business success, Council appreciated the need for a comprehensive resource to service prospective and current Maroondah businesses.

An Economic Development branding was developed, and two separate communications projects, utilising this branding, were produced.

The Maroondah Better Business Kit was produced after extensive business consultation and research, primarily to provide new business people with the resources to support their entry into small business.

The Better Business Kit CD informational content includes council forms and details of business services, links to external websites and resources, answers to frequently asked questions, networking information and new business start up advice.

The upgraded BizMaroondah website has also become an effective promotional tool for Economic Development services.
